# Connect Hyperliquid

> Approve a safe trading key or connect an existing API wallet.

Hyperliquid keeps funds in a master account and lets a separate API wallet sign
trades. The API wallet can trade but cannot withdraw. It can be revoked from
Hyperliquid.

    destination. A new Hyperliquid account is created by its first deposit.

    that holds the Hyperliquid funds.

    passphrase with at least eight characters.

  and must never be pasted into Tickside. Only an approved API wallet private key
  belongs in the advanced connection form.
</Warning>

## Lock, remove and revoke

**Lock session** removes the decrypted trading key from browser memory.
**Remove account** removes its encrypted local copy. Neither action cancels
orders or revokes the API wallet at Hyperliquid. Use the Hyperliquid API page to
revoke it.
