# Connect Polymarket

> Use your Tickside wallet or connect an existing Polymarket account.

## Use your Tickside wallet

This is the simplest option. Your Privy wallet remains your Tickside identity
and signs Polymarket actions when you approve them.

    Choose **Polymarket**, then select **Use Tickside wallet**.

  <Step title="Check the addresses">
    Tickside verifies the signer and the Polymarket funds address. They can be
    different. The funds address is where collateral and positions live.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add funds">
    Select **Deposit** and use one of the assets and networks shown in the live
    deposit window. The Polymarket bridge creates the required pUSD balance.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start carefully">
    Confirm the active account and balance, then practise in PAPER before using
    LIVE.

## Connect an existing Polymarket account

  <Step title="Choose Import existing">
    In **Account**, choose **Polymarket**, then **Add account** and **Import
    existing**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Read the key notice">
    Continue only on a trusted device. Tickside support will never ask for the
    key.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the trading key">
    Use the private key that signs the existing Polymarket account. If the
    account was created with Polymarket email login, export it from
    [Magic](https://reveal.magic.link/polymarket).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the funds address">
    Copy the public address shown under your Polymarket profile. This can be
    different from the signing key address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose local protection">
    Remember it on a trusted device, protect it with a passphrase or keep it for
    this browser session only.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  An imported private key controls the connected account. It is processed in your
  browser and never sent to Tickside servers. Tickside cannot recover it if you
  lose it or clear the only browser that stores the encrypted copy.

## What disconnecting does

Disconnecting or removing the local account does not cancel Polymarket orders,
close positions or move funds. Manage any remaining exposure before removing
your access path.
