Tickside shows the complete order book in a ladder. You can place an order,
cancel it, follow a fill, see P\&L and close the position from the same window.

<Note>
  Tickside supports **Polymarket only today**. The product is being prepared for
  more venues, but a venue is not available until it appears inside the app.

## Your first session

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect">
    Select **Connect** and sign in with Google, email or a supported wallet
    through Privy.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start in paper mode">
    Open **Settings**, then **Paper trading**. Paper mode uses live prices with
    simulated money.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a market">
    Search for an event, open its card, then select one market.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Place an order">
    Choose a stake and select a BACK or LAY cell. Start with a small simulated
    order while learning the ladder.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Close the position">
    Select **HEDGE** to close at the available market prices, or select a value
    in the P\&L column to close at that specific price.

## Four ideas to understand

## When you are ready for live trading

Open **Account**, select **Deposit**, and send USDC on Polygon to the address
shown. Switch from PAPER to LIVE only after checking the active account, stake
and price.

  Live orders use real funds. Orders can fill immediately and cannot be reversed
  by Tickside. Check the venue rules and availability for your location.
